Good Morning Silver Hill Families,
Although cold, it was another beautiful weekend. I hope everyone was able to spend some time outside and enjoy the fresh brisk air!
Important Reminders:
Drop Off (8:30am) and Pick Up(3:15pm):
- Please be sure not to drop students off before 8:30. There is no staff on duty before then and students are not allowed in the building before then unsupervised.
- Please be careful when dropping off and picking up to follow parking lot rules and etiquette. Rushing and having students walk across the parking lot can be dangerous for all. The students safety is of utmost concern.
COLD weather has arrived, please be sure the students have warm coats, hats, and gloves. They are outside on most days from 8:30-9:00am and again for recess. If you need assistance with some warm clothing, please just let us know and we will do our best to help out.
Attendance Matters for every student to reach their full potential!
ATTENDANCE CONTEST: school every day raffle…. Every student who is here daily until Thanksgiving will have their name entered to win a prize for their family. Help your student succeed academically and get a chance to win a prize as well!
YMCA Educator of the YEAR banquet at 5:00 pm at NECC’s Technology Center, 100 Elliott Street, Haverhill MA. $40 per ticket, dinner included. Raffle baskets will be available at the event. CONGRATULATIONS to the Silver Hill nominees: Kerri Alves, Noreen Carifio, Jennifer Gagnon, and Daniela Murphy!
Coming soon, Basketball clinic for grades 4 and 5! One of our parents, Mr. Sadek has graciously offered to run a basketball clinic for students in grades 4 and 5. Please watch for a flier to come home this week for details!
The first session of Chess Club has ended. Mr Corriveau plans to run another session later in the year. Keep your eyes open for the flyer!

Monday 11/18 – Staff Meeting after school. There will be no teachers available for students after school.
Tuesday 11/19 – Chorus at 8:15 – 8:55am with Mrs Kallas. Please email Mrs. Kallas at barbara.kallas@haverhill-ps.org if your child has signed up but is unable to attend.
Tuesday 11/19 – YMCA Educator of the YEAR banquet at 5:00 pm at NECC’s Technology Center
Friday 11/22 – PTO school store open at all lunches! Please help support our students and school when you can!

- Wednesday Dec 4th Winter Concert Grades 4 & 5 at 5:30pm
- Thursday Dec 5th – Dec 12th = Book Fair
- Wednesday Dec 11th Parent Teacher Conferences
- Lost and Found is full. Please remember to take a look at table outside the cafeteria if your child is missing a coat or sweatshirt. All items will be donated after the parent conferences on Dec 11th.

ALWAYS one of the best events of the year! All tickets are $7 per person and are available for purchase at the door
4) Sunday, November 24th – Haverhill’s Annual Santa Parade. Time: 1PM. This year’s theme will be “Santa Celebrates Haverhill’s Heroes”. If anyone is interested in marching with Silver Hill, please contact our coordinator Jenny Greene at greeneteamjt@gmail.com for more info.
5) Tuesday, December 10th – Family Holiday Shopping Night. Time: 4:30 PM – 8 PM
Please have your students come to do some holiday shopping, while the adults sit back and have some hot cocoa and treats! There will be raffles, crafts, and lots more holiday fun! Want to help out? Please sign up for one or more slots at the link below:
