Medications (both prescription and over-the-counter drugs) should not be taken during school hours if it is possible to achieve the medical regimen at home. Medication to be taken three times a day can be given before school, after school and at bedtime.

A SIGNED PHYSICIAN’S ORDER AND A SIGNED PARENTAL PERMISSION SLIP ARE REQUIRED BEFORE ANY PRESCRIPTION OR OVER-THE-COUNTER MEDICATION CAN BE ADMINISTERED IN SCHOOL

In the original pharmacy or manufacturer’s labeled container. Please ask the pharmacy to provide separate bottles for school and home.
By a parent/guardian or designated adult – never with the student
No medications that arrive in baggies or envelopes will be administered in school***
