Good evening Jaguar Families,

Hope you all had a very restful and enjoyable weekend. I wanted to reach out to our families and thank you for all of your hard work and efforts at home during online learning days.  Every member of our school is working extremely hard to make sure our students are able to receive the curriculum and instruction that they need in the most effective way possible. Mr. Gray and I have been observing teachers over the past few weeks. It truly is impressive how teachers are continuing to make personal connections and continuing to deliver quality instruction during this weird and different time. Your patience and understanding has not gone unnoticed. Teachers are constantly telling us how supportive families have been during these trying times. Thank you.  Here are a few reminders and housekeeping issues to keep you in the loop.

CAR PICK UP: AS smooth as the process is going, please remember to put your child’s pick up number in the windshield when you pull up. This speeds up the process and helps Mrs. Todd when she is inputting the numbers. If you need a new number, please reach out to the office staff. Also, for safety reasons, remember to stay in your vehicle when dropping off and as hard as it is, do not let your child out of the car until instructed to do so by a staff member.

PHOTOGRAPHS: School pictures are in and they will be distributed starting next week.

FLU SHOTS: The flu vaccine is mandatory as of Dec 31, please send in proof of vaccination to the nurse as soon as possible.

OUTSIDE RECESS:  Please make sure your son or daughter is dressed appropriately when they come to school. We would like to get our students outside as much as possible. Rain or shine. With all of the concerns about students needed mask breaks and getting fresh air, this is imperative.

HAVERHILL PROMISE READING: As you know, during our spring quarantine and over this past summer many of the students here at Silver Hill took part in the Haverhill Promise reading challenge and won. Students who participated received a chance to work on the large mural in downtown Haverhill. The next time you are downtown please take a peek, it came out amazing!

HAVERHILL PUBLIC LIBRARY:  If anybody’s interested, the Haverhill Public Library will be showing a drive-in movie, The Karate Kid on 11/19. Visit their facebook page or website for more details.

THANKSGIVING BREAK We will be having a half day on the Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving. 11/25/20.
Let’s have a great week.
