Jaguar families,

I hope you were able to take some time and enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend.

You did it,  the stress of MCAS is over.  Your cherubs did an exceptional job taking the assessment.   I would like to thank the staff for all of their hard work and preparation to make it possible.  It isn’t easy to pull all the pieces together in order to make sure the test would go off without a hitch.   Students took their time and focused on making sure they did their best.  They check and double-check their work.  It was so great to see their perseverance pay off.  Now we almost see the light at the end of the tunnel.  This year has been a tricky one but we’re almost on the green.

iReady and ST mathWe would also like to send a special shout out to all the students and staff continuing to work hard on their Iready and ST math platforms.  As you know we have been working towards sparking students’ interest using their Iready diagnostic lessons.  This has been going on for many weeks now and we finally have a winner. It has come down to Mrs. Quintal’ class and Mrs. Kornachuck’s class.  The winner of this years Iready Challenge is……. Mrs. Quintal’s class.  Congratulations to all the classes.  Prizes will be given out shortly.  Way to go and keep on trucking… FundraiserAll day, Friday May 28th we will be having a fundraiser.  The River Street Cafe has been gracious enough to host this for us.  A portion of their sales for the entire day will come directly to Silver Hill.  Please go help support a new and amazing local restaurant and us in return!  It is located at 558 River St. Haverhill.  Hope to see you there.  SmencilsWe will be selling amazing smelling pencils that will be sold during lunches for $1. I know what you’re thinking, pencils that smell… I know they might be kind of weird but really fun to use. Please stop by the office to purchase one this week. We have plenty to choose from but I’m sure they won’t last long.
Don’t forget to read to your students 20 min a night.  Thank you and have a great week.   Mr. ParkerAsst. Principal.
