Jump 4 Heart
Beginning February 5th, all physical education classes will begin a two-week unit on jumping rope. The younger grades (k-2) will focus on jumping and landing, while the older students (3-5) will learn jump rope tricks with both short and long ropes.
In conjunction with this unit, Silver Hill will join with the American Heart Association’s (AHA) Jump Rope for Heart Program. This is an optional participation for students and families. Student can choose to collect donations for the AHA. Envelopes will be coming home to you about the collection process on February 5th.
On Thursday, February 15th Silver Hill will host a jump rope team from New Hampshire. The jump team is comprised of students around the age of our students. They will perform their tricks and will also provide our students with healthy living choices.
There is no one specific event for the Jump for Heart, and donations are due by February 28, 2018.
