Dear Silver Hill Families,
First of all, THANK YOU to PTO for helping us celebrate our return to school with all kinds of fun treats for the staff, and a brightly decorated table with balloons, donuts, juice, coffee, and big smiles to greet our students and families on the first week! It was a welcoming return, and showed everyone that we ARE Silver Hill and we are looking forward to a great new school year. Thank you to Kristina Morowski, Nicole Kardos, Andrea Barman, Laura Nephew, Milissa Cordes and Kim Lawson who helped organize and act as official greeters!
Our first two days have gone very well, and routines are quickly coming back into place. I am so proud of our students who are already following our ROARS behavior expectations. Be on the lookout for information coming home about our PBIS program (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) to help you reinforce this at home. We’re in this together!
A quick reminder that Friday is an early release day, and there is no school for kindergarten. Lunch is not served on early release days. Pick up begins at 11:30. Usually buses begin to arrive around 11:30, with everyone sent home by 12:00. There is no school on Monday, September 4, as we celebrate Labor Day. Then everyone is back on Tuesday, September 5th.
And last but not least, thank you for your patience as the bus routes are finalized. We are hopeful that this will all be settled this week. We know that lots of little ones are coming home very tired after a long day at school, and we appreciate your sending your children to us each day so ready to learn!
As always, please feel free to e-mail or call me if you have any questions or concerns, and keep an eye on our website for updates. https://silverhill.haverhill-ps.org
Also, please spread the word that we need everyone’s e-mail to be sure to reach you for important updates. If you have friends/family who do not receive this message alert, please have them send their e-mail to sara.langlais@haverhill-ps.org
Have a wonderful long weekend!
Warm regards,
Margaret
