Good Morning Silver Hill Families,

 

I hope everyone was able to enjoy the beautiful weekend and prepare for the start of school for Grades 1-5 on Tuesday, August 27, 2019.  Drop off is from 8:30-8:55, classes start at 9:00am, and dismissal begins at 3:15pm.  

 

Just a reminder for everyone to “Pop In to Meet, Greet, and Find Your Seat” on Monday night from 4:30-6:00pm.  Staff from grades 1-5 will be in their rooms from 4:30-5:30pm to meet their students and families as well as explain a little about their rooms.  

 

From 5:30-6:00, ALL staff will be outside to mingle with new and old students and their families.

 

On Monday, August 26th, Kindergarten staff will be available to meet with parents in the cafeteria from 4:30-5:30 for general discussions since class lists will not be finalized until after the kindergarten screenings this coming week on Tuesday and Wednesday according to assigned times. I would plan for 45 min to 1 hour for each student’s screening. Kindergarten staff will also be available to meet students and families as well as tour their rooms on Friday, August 30th from 9:30-10:30am.

 

I personally want to thank everyone, staff, students, and families, for a warm welcome as I begin the new school year as Principal at Silver Hill.  I could not have asked for a better group to work with! We are all extremely excited here at Silver Hill to welcome everyone back. Looking forward to a fantastic school year!
