School will resume tomorrow, Wednesday, January 4th with a full day of school.
PBIS Rewards Assemblies rescheduled to Friday, 1/6. Due to the power outage on the Friday before vacation, we needed to postpone this assembly. It has been rescheduled to this Friday, January 6th.
If your child is receiving an award this month, you heard from their teacher. You are welcome to attend the assembly, and we are glad to have families back in the building, but please keep the following in mind:
- There is a LOT of sickness (Flu, Covid, Strep, etc.) going around. We strongly recommend masking and will have masks available to you. We want everyone to stay healthy!
- Parking can be tricky. Please carpool or walk if possible. Please pay attention to the cones and parking restrictions.
- The K-2 assembly is from 9:15-10:00, and the 3-5 assembly is from 10:15-11:00.
Holiday Food Drive – Thank you SO MUCH to all families who donated to the Food Drive throughout December!! As a result of your generosity, 2,788 items were donated – FANTASTIC!
Lost and Found – We still have a LARGE NUMBER of sweatshirts, coats, water bottles, etc. in the Lost and Found. Please have your children check for anything they may be missing.
***Please see the photos below of the Lost and Found to see if you recognize anything!***
I know they often resist outerwear, but please be sure your children come to school with warm coats, hats, and gloves. We will be having outdoor recess as much as possible through the winter and we want to be sure all are protected from the colder weather!
**Please also be sure to send your children with snacks for snacktime.**
Take care and be well.
Sincerely,
Donna Martin, Principal

ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
For Elementary/PreK/K School Parents:
Showing up matters for R.E.A.L because it is an opportunity to:
- Build Routines
- Increase Engagement
- Provide Access to resources
- Support Learning
Routines: Daily attendance routines can reduce stress, increase your child’s self-confidence, and lay a foundation for good attendance in later grades.
Engagement: Participation in school helps your child connect with other children and adults and get excited about learning.
Access to Resources: Schools can give you access to meals, physical and mental health care and other supports, and fun enrichment activities (sports, clubs, music, afterschool, and summer programs, etc.).
Learning: Children learn best from hand-on activities and through meaningful interactions with their teacher and other students.
A reminder that it is very important for your child to be on time to school each day! Please reach out to your child’s teacher or school adjustment counselor if you need any support with getting your child to school.
