I hope you all have enjoyed a relaxing Labor Day weekend! We are looking forward to welcoming your children back tomorrow, and the Kindergarteners on Wednesday! We will gather all K students at the front of the school as they get off the bus, get dropped off, leave the YMCA, etc. All K teachers and ESPs along with additional adults will be there to greet them, get them into classes, and walk them into school.
Attendance – School attendance is crucial for several reasons: academic success, skill development, social interaction, routine and structure, emotional well-being, and future opportunities. We encourage you to ensure your child attends school every day unless they are sick. Regular attendance is fundamental for maximizing educational outcomes and supporting personal growth and development. If you need any support helping to get your child(ren) to school, please reach out to us; we are here to help!
Driving and Parking Reminders
- Please be sure to drive slowly while in the Silver Hill parking lot. The construction is adding to how busy the area is, and we want to be sure all are safe!
- Also, please DO NOT pass any buses or vans while they are in the bus loop! This is extremely dangerous for the students!
- The numbered spaces in the parking lot are there for Silver Hill staff ONLY. Please DO NOT park in them, even briefly.
- If you are picking up your children in grades K-2, please stay in the lane closest to the building as you drive around the back of the school. If you are picking up only students in grades 3-4, please stay to the right in the outer lane. Please stay in these lanes and do NOT pass anyone else.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Sincerely,
Donna Martin, Principal
